Archive for November, 2008

Zombie is doing what many others are afraid to do, he is calling November 22nd “Victory in Iraq” day:

By every measure, The United States and coalition forces have conclusively defeated all enemies in Iraq, pacified the country, deposed the previous regime, successfully helped to establish a new functioning democratic government, and suppressed any lingering insurgencies. The war has come to an end. And we won.

What more indication do you need? An announcement from the outgoing Bush administration? It’s not gonna happen. An announcement from the incoming Obama administration? That’s really not gonna happen. A declaration of victory by the media? Please. Don’t make me laugh. A concession of surrender by what few remaining insurgents remain in hiding? Forget about it.

He also cites interesting facts such as:

CHICAGO (CBS) — An estimated 125 people were shot and killed over the summer. That’s nearly double the number of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq over the same time period.

But for a lot of people it comes down to “Why are we still there?”, well that’s easy:

Hell, the United States still has several military bases and many troops “occupying” Japan and Germany who have been there continuously since the end of World War II in 1945. We have two major Air Bases in Korea leftover from the Korean War. The Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba is a remnant of the Spanish-American War and has been there for over a century; the U.S. military also “occupied” the Philippines at Subic Bay for nearly a hundred years as a result of the Spanish-American War. More recently we continue to have a presence in Bosnia at Tuzla Air Base as a consequence of our role in the Bosnian War of the 1990s.

Spread the news, the war is over!

There are a lot of people who are against the auto-industry bailout, especially people in the conservative sector of politics. It comes down to a philosophy of “just let them fail, they’ll come back”. It’s not at simple as they make it seem. Libertarians often try to dumb things down so much, not so other people will believe them, but so they themselves can swallow how utterly moronic their ideas are.

When it comes to bailouts, I always think they are a bit spurious, but in this case if the auto-industry does fall apart in this country, it will never come back. From that point forward, there will not be an American made car one can buy, only Japanese, German, Swedish, Korean, and so forth. This doesn’t bother some people, but this also means that a local industry for mechanized weaponry will almost completely disappear. So, if there is a need to create a lot of jeeps, tanks, and so forth, we won’t be able to make them in-house like we previously did, instead we’ll have to have them made in other countries.

Most of us know what happened to Flint, Michigan, and I hate to think what would happen to many other American towns that are based on the success of the auto-industry. If we can bail out the banks for screw ups for almost $1 trillion dollars, we can spend $25 billion on the auto-industry to help save what little industry we do have left.

I will talk more about American industry in the future, but because it is almost completely gone, we need to save what vestiges we do have left, before we end up a country of burger joints and call centers.

The election is over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still talk about Obama. Before the election zombietime posted a few different articles pertaining to Obama and his history (as well as former associate Bill Ayers), and I want to talk about them here.

Barack Obama’s review of William Ayers’ book

http://www.zombietime.com/zomblog/?p=64

First I want to talk about people who say that the William Ayers issue was not important (i.e. most Obama supporters). Well, it is. That is because Bill Ayers is an admitted terrorist, who admits to attempting to blow up things such as the Pentagon. Obama tries to claim that “this happened when I was 8 years old”, but does that really matter? Consider that Bill Ayers not only admits to his acts of terrorism against the United States, but also “wish[es he] could have done more” and is proud of what he did. Regardless of what age Obama was when it happened, does not change the fact he was friends with Ayers after the fact, when Ayers was proud of it and wishes he could have blown up more.

In zombietime’s review he discusses Obama’s links to Ayers around 1997 when the Chicago Tribune posted Obama’s review of Ayers’ book. It basically puts to rest that Obama was not very familiar with Ayers, which Obama has claimed in the past, and that they actually knew each other very well.  Zombietime also goes a long way to show that the evidence he puts forth is real, which is good because even today most supporters still deny it.

Barack Obama’s Close Encounter with the Weather Underground

http://www.zombietime.com/obama_and_the_weather_underground/

This is a very in depth essay about Obama’s connections with the Weather Underground (the organization Bill Ayers was a member of) and debunks a lot of the myths started by Obama himself to push Ayers away and pretend as if there was no connection. The essay starts by saying “Did the presidential candidate and the revolutionary terror group cross paths at a violent 1981 anti-Apartheid protest?”, and as you guessed it, the answer is “yes”. It is very in depth, so I suggest you read it on zombie’s site, because there’s too much to cover here.

William Ayers’ forgotten communist manifesto: Prairie Fire

http://www.zombietime.com/prairie_fire/

In this essay zombietime discusses a manifesto written by noted former associate of Obama entitled “Prairie Fire”, where Ayers not only admits to being a communist “We are communist women and men…”, but also admits to be willing to use violence to overthrow the US government “We need a revolutionary communist party [...] to [...] seize power and build a new society.” Interesting.

As with the essay about Obama’s links to the Weather Underground, zombie has gone to great lengths in his analysis of Prairie Fire. Essentially the purpose of the essay by zombie is to make clear Ayers beliefs and that he was a die hard communist and that he was very much willing to use violence to overthrow the government — something he admits to doing today.

It also goes into the various claims made by the media about Ayers and his beliefs, and outlines his true beliefs as written by Ayers himself. It’s something I also suggest reading on his page because of how in depth it really is.

What does this all mean?

The election is over, obviously, and Obama is our new president so the only thing this can really mean is that we might be in for even more extreme changes than he has let on. In the end he is still a politician, and for the most part, they are all liars - he could very well just coast through the next few years, hoping that nothing will go wrong while he is in office so he can claim success.

What we need to do is stop pretending like Obama is some kind of Messiah, as if he was sent by God to save us. I just have a feeling God doesn’t like terrorists or their friends. Regardless, it would not surprise me if Obama breaks every promise he made during his campaign.

One thing remains clear, conservatives cannot stoop to the same level that liberals did during Bush’s presidency - so let’s avoid Obama Derangement Syndrome and just do our best to take back congress during the next closest election.

The National Federalist Party was falling apart and it seemed like nobody was going to step up and get it going. Granted, there are countless third parties in the United States, but I wanted an organization more tailored to actually helping people, rather than just talking politics. Sure, politics are important, especially to a political organization, but when one obsesses over it people become alienated and get bored really easily.

So, after becoming party leader, my first act was to declare a clear path and direction for this political organization. Most importantly I do not want this to be an “activist organization”. Nothing is more asinine than a group of individuals who set their goals and terms so high that the only thing they would be willing to accept is full on world revolution — and this goes for both Leftists and Libertarians.

Secondly, I wanted to rework how members interacted and how the whole party fit together. We will be creating a new party site over the next few months that will be more like a social network, but for those who are similarly principled to us. That seems to be something most organizations lack, a great way for people to communicate and organize.

Thirdly, no druggies, no BEE-ESS social activism about how legalization of drugs will cure everything from poverty, to violence, to cancer, to hunger, to Christ coming back. This was not a problem before, but some people were on the fence, and I just want to take a stand on this issue right here and now. Alcoholism is another issue that should be dealt with and will not be tolerated in this organization. Several people have brought up the issue of “freedom of choice”, but this is a private organization, and they have the choice to join, leave, or quit.

In forth place I want to announce a largely socially conservative stance, but a mildly conservative economic stance, with room for movement. I do not want to say we are either on the left or right, because both sides have good ideas and both sides have bad ideas, but I honestly would say we are more towards the middle-right.

While there are more changes and stands being taken, I do not want to put them all in one single post. The point of this blog is to outline, with member help, what this party’s principles will be, where we will stand, our direction, and our stance on various issues.

What it all comes down to is that this will be a charity and community organization as well as a political party. A lot of planning must be done first, and I want to be sure we have everything planned out and in order before we start spreading the word about what we are trying to do.

It’s time to create change, not by spreading the wealth, but by taking back control of our communities from criminals and the socially amoral.
